Washed Out – You And I (feat. Caroline Polachek)

News is in that musician Ernest Greene aka Washed Out has signed with Sub Pop and they will be releasing the sure to be amazing summer album Within and Without on July 12th. This is pretty exciting news as most of us have waited for a full length since he dropped his two EP’s a couple years ago.

The song we have for you is “You And I” which features Caroline Polachek of Chairlift. It was released a while back, but it will be included on the album in some form or fashion. It’s a great song, but the summery vibe is kind of bitten a bit by the loneliness of the instrumentation, not to mention the additional vocals only increase the sadness. It’s like being on a beach at dusk while the wind whips the sand in your face.
