The Dead Ships released their first full length album, Electric Ahab, on Valentine’s Day and it’s nine blasts of guitar, drum, and those same awesome vox that hit the crossroads between the 50’s and the double-aughts.
“Sordid” is first track from the LP. While lacking the immediate hooks of “You Were Young”, it’s a hell of a grower – “Sordid” clamors and clangs it’s way into your consciousness in a different manner.
I also gotta take a few words and say what an awesome name for a record Electric Ahab is, especially for a band called The Dead Ships. Sexy.
