It’s been a few months, but now The Neighbourhood are back with a brand new track that was premiered by Zane Lowe titled “Let It Go”. It’s part of a new EP Thank You that’s coming out on December 17th. If you haven’t heard these guys it’s time to brush up.
For my ears, “Let It Go” floats back toward the more R&B flavor of “Sweater Weather” but with the mood of “Wires”. I don’t know where I’d rate it in the six tracks I’ve heard of The Neighbourhood, but rest assured it’s a great listen and I am eagerly awaiting the rest of Thank You. It’s becoming increasingly clear that the feel good vibe of “Sweater Weather” is a bit more exception than the norm with the sound of the band, where an amazing beat and dark tones seem to hold those smooth vocals up instead of the warmer sounds of their previous smash.
You can’t beat the upside down house. No MP3’s this time, just listen below via Soundcloud.
