Joyous pop rock to brighten your day by way of The Almighty Rhombus. I’m not sure what an almighty rhombus is, but I suppose you can’t have everything.

“She Didn’t Want Me” is one of those energetic pop tracks that feel so familiar when you put them on. It’s got a great hook and melody, and the combination of keys and guitar is top notch. Most of all, the band never seems to miss a bit. Everything flows so well together. They honestly remind me a bit of a younger Motion City Soundtrack, though perhaps without all the quirky lyricism. The vocals are there, though.

This track is part of a five track EP that was released by the Sudbury outfit earlier this month. If you head to The Almighty Rhombus bandcamp you can download it for free til the end of March.

That’s not all. The Almighty Rhombus also released a video for “She Didn’t Want Me” which was hand shot, and it looks like it. If you can get past that, however, you’ll find a video that’s charming and full of life. It fits this track like a glove.
