I suppose it was only a matter of time, right?
I’m not entirely certain what to say about this track. I like it, that’s undeniable. I wouldn’t post it if I didn’t. It also runs counter to almost everything I normally post or say. “Dancing Mutant Man Child” has all the breaks and glitches you wanna hear if you’re a dubstep fan, but Jack & The Ripper (brothers and twins to boot) have married them to chugging guitars and rock vocals for an interesting hybrid that is very dynamic.
It’s different than anything else I’ve heard lately, for sure. It may be too soon, but I could seriously hear this type of thing on the radio dominating the youth a-la the rap-rock of my teen years…
Not that I’m comparing Jack & The Ripper to said bands, just I feel like these kind of hybrids lend themselves well to rapid acceptance if fans of both genres (in this case, rock and dubstep) find the levels of the opposite genre in the band’s sound palatable.
