The submerged sounds of cumbres carrascosa would suit you a rain soaked day in mid July, if only it were July. Instead, we’ve got a lukewarm March that is steering hard back towards winter. The good news in this situation, if there is any, is that “Warm” will suit shitty weather just as well as a glorious thunderstorm.
I can’t shake the feeling of being surrounded by water when I play “Warm”. There’s a hypnotic quality to the single like watching waves crashing on a beach, or reminding me of a man who swam too far into the sea and is continually beset by the swells and currents.
While maintaining an air of simplicity, cumbres carrascosa has crafted the tracks of Nevertheless Introductory with an intricacy to be admired; the flecks of guitar melding exquisitely with the synth that guides the melody of “Warm”.
cumbres carrascosa is in the process of releasing Silenced No on April 29th. In the meantime, you can get the Nevertheless Introductory via our friends at French label Beko Disques.
