Stream: Arctic Monkeys – Come Together (The Beatles Cover) Studio Version

Arctic Monkeys opened the London Olympics.

The motherloving Olympics!

That my favorite band in the world got the opportunity to do this is absolutely amazing to me. I don’t know if I’m more surprised because I like them, or because they are still in their prime and not on the tail end of their careers like other bands asked to do prestigious things such as this.

Not only did they perform – they covered The Beatles! And NAILED IT! just like Jared Allen in those NFL commercials.

Hands down one of the coolest things musically in my life and I wasn’t even there. I watched it on a shitty stream and am now having to wait to watch it live on NBC.

You can stream the studio version of the track below courtesy of We All Want Someone To Shout For. Sorry, no MP3 but there’s a buy link below!

You can purchase the studio version of the Arctic Monkeys cover of The Beatles “Come Together” on iTunes right here. It is hidden underneath the Isles of Wonder: Music For The Opening Ceremony Of The London 2012 Olympic Games.

UPDATE: Apparently the Olympic committee and NBC had all the video of the performance pulled…you’ll have to do with the studio recording for now.

UPDATE 2: And now the Soundcloud stream is gone. MP3’s of the live performance now attached below:
