If I could go back and have myself renamed at birth with the primary goal of being becoming an ultra successful businessman and CEO of an infinitely serious company about serious things (TM), I’d request to be named James Supercave. Imagine your life.
“Mr. Supercave, your coat please?” and “CEO James Supercave worth billions.” Who could touch that name? Not a CEO with a pedestrian name like Bill Gates or Lloyd C. Blankfein. Nope, nope, nope. Still, it probably serves best as the name of an experimental pop band from California.
Ironically, that’s just what James Supercave is.
Long, longtime readers might remember James Supercave and their track “Georgian Orange” (not peach!) from the summer of 2012. There was also their work under their previous name Masxs, the single “Chairman Gou”, which was well beyond excellent. “The Right Thing” is their newest single. When it starts to bite it’s the crocodile of the Animal Kingdom.
“The Right Thing” builds up surreptitiously before unleashing powerful guitars and vox into your earballs. You could say it gets intense. When Supercave goes for broke, you cannot help but embrace “The Right Thing”.
This new single is part of an upcoming EP that will drop in late March. I don’t have a title yet, but I’m sure we’ll know soon enough. In the meantime, do the right thing and play “The Right Thing” or…
