I’ve kind of gotten to the point here at Sirens where I can’t write something substantial and deserving of every piece of music that comes my way. This is not because I receive an ungodly amount of submissions (though there are plenty), it’s more because of other commitments like work, school, being a husband and raising a child.
With that said, I feel bad to skip and hop through music looking for easily recognizable diamonds and possibly overlooking others that I should have wrote more about. So I’m going to compromise in the only way I can think of, by taking a page from Indie Rock Cafe (an excellent source of music by the way) and making one post with MP3’s that I’ve been sent and haven’t gotten a chance to write about.
If you like any of them, let me know and maybe we can get back in touch and go a little further in depth. I intend to only do this when absolutely necessary, so Shorthanded Goals may be a little bit sporadic.
