A few hours ago the second child in the Sirens household came into the world; this little beauty weighing in at 8 lbs 1 oz and twenty inches in length. He’s heavier than my first son, as well as a little shorter.
He also has a head full of hair, which will surely make both of his grandfathers jealous. Included is a picture of the youngest Siren, shortly after his emergence into the wide world. I’m pretty sure he was listening to something pretty chill in the womb, because he was hockey goalie calm while they cleaned him up.
The nurse asked my oldest son (who is 21 months old) what he thought about having a brother and he decided it was just awesome, then he threw both hands up in the air and proclaimed “GOAL!!!” right after his baby brother was born.
So, in true music blogger fashion, I send this track out to my newborn son. You’ve spent months in your mother’s womb, and you’ll spend years (more like a lifetime!) under your daddy’s watchful eye.
One thing I want to make sure of, however, is that you are always prepared to fight for what you want and what you believe. When you see whatever it is you want to go for, fight like a knight. I’ll be there with you whenever you need me.
I love you very much.
