Gold Flake Paint’s A Collective Sigh of Relief: The One Where You Get Great Tracks For Helping Beat Cancer

The inestimable Gold Flake Paint released a compilation album earlier today benefiting cancer charity Trekstock. All proceeds from the sale of the album on Bandcamp will go to the foundation, which is a charity founded with the rather inspired mission “to help beat cancer through funding research of the highest standard and ensuring all young people have the right and relevant information to make better informed lifestyle choices.” Reading between the lines there, what they and I and Gold Flake Paint are saying is that this is an organization helping young people kick cancer’s ass. Doesn’t get much more important than that.

As a now near-thirty year old man with two young children who has had countless family members and friends, including my own mother, succumb to cancer, this is an initiative I can certainly get behind. If you want to check it out the post Gold Flake Paint about the album, you can find it at this link.

The track list is below along with the compilation, and here is the link to donate for your own copy of the tracks on Bandcamp. There are some amazing artists and tracks included so don’t hesitate. I commend the folks at Gold Flake Paint for the effort and the idea, and hope that great things will come of it.
